Overview:
Seven Sins Mocktails is a two-part identity systems project focused on developing a cohesive brand family through concept-driven storytelling. The project began with the creation of a parent brand and four distinct visual sub-brands inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins, which were later integrated into a unified packaging system.
The concept derives from the story of the first sin, Eve eating the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. Seven Sins Mocktails reimagines this narrative by offering cocktail-inspired mocktails designed for alternative subcultures. The brand allows consumers to experience the taste of “forbidden fruit” without alcohol, embracing temptation without regret.
Rather than interpreting the sins through a strictly orthodox religious lens, my design strategy focused on their historical, artistic, and psychological origins throughout various cultures. Each sin was translated into a symbolic fruit flavor, paired with gothic, cathedral-inspired iconography drawn from biblical storytelling.
